Check out the line-up for this year's forums and mark the date on your school calendar! Our forums are from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. at 714 St. Mary's St. at the Wade Edwards Learning Lab (across from Broughton High). We have exciting speakers lined up, and at every forum there is FREE PIZZA!

Wolfpack Wisdom Men's Basketball Assistant Coach Pete Strickland from N.C. State discusses how to succeed on the court and off the court.

Focus on Gangs – Don't fall in with the wrong crowd! Danya Perry from Communities In Schools of NC will educate parents and students on the facts about gangs.

A Poet's Presence – Meet the 2003 winner of the NC Award in Literature, Jaki Shelton Green as she talks about poetry and literature and how to become a writer!

Financial Aid – Come and learn about how you can afford college with speakers Sarita Broadway (College Foundation of NC) and Melissa Churchwell (NC Teaching Fellows).

November 13

Buffalo Soldier – Join us for a historic event as we welcome former Buffalo Soldier, Captain E.L. Brown who will bring history to life regarding the sacrifices made by the Buffalo Soldiers down through the ages.

December 4

Sign Language and Deaf Culture – Want to learn the difference between American Sign Language and Pidgin English? Professional interpreter for the deaf, Bethany Hamm-Whitfield , will lead a discussion on deaf culture and on being an interpreter.
